Science Garden
THE SCIENCE GARDEN IS IN FULL BLOOM!
The Science Garden is officially transformed! With the additional of a brand new fence (thanks to Borg Fencing for a generous discount) and the growth of so many plants, the garden is in full bloom. Pumpkins and sunflowers are planted and growing and new tables are arriving in fall for our students.
Our garden features perennial and annual plantings including: a pollinator section, California native plants section, drought tolerant section, sensory garden, bed for large fruits and vegetables, and planting beds for classes. The space has tree stump seating and will include tables (including ADA-accessible) for students. Our new fence proudly showcases all of our plants for all to enjoy.
We are so grateful for all of the continued support from parents, PTA, DESEF, Devil Mountain Nursery for their generous discount on plants and to Molly and Kenny Hiatt for the beautiful, handmade raised planter boxes.
If you’d like to donate time or funds to helping our garden thrive, please contact Laura & Lindsey at garden@wdpta.org
Gratefully,

A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust.
